Day 2- Learning

So here I am on Day 2 of my "Hard Gainers Workout" challenge. I've been reading through the course materials of "No-Nonsense Muscle Building". That book and its supplements are going to be my core guide throughout the challenge, and if you haven't gotten your own copy yet, you can at http://hardgainersworkout.uni.cc

Moving on....

One concept that sounds new to me is "High Weight, High Reps", pretty much meaning pushing yourself TO THE MAX. Putting a lot of stress on your muscles. I don't know if I'm up for that sort of thing. I mean, I'm a giant wimp, and can't lift much as it is. High weight, high reps, would be like 4-5 reps with 30-35 pounds. Depending on what sort of exercise I'm doing.

Very, very wimpy.

Another more appealing concept is that of full recovery. My workouts may be a little spaced out here at first as I allow my muscles "full recovery" time. Plus, using Upside Down Training I'll ease into the actual workout program, so maybe I won't be so wimpy by then.

I'm also going to start eating as much as I can, and not just junk. I'm looking at protein bars/supplements, taking my vitamins, and getting more protein, wheat, and vegetables in my diet. I don't think I'll follow any of the meal plans included with the program, but that's just me.

So what are your thoughts? If you're following along with me, feel free to post them on my Posterous, Blogger, or Twitter. If you're not, then grab a copy of No-Nonsense Muscle Building from http://hardgainersworkout.uni.cc and then jump right in!

Best of luck!
